Termanology, Realm Reality ( aka Rick Gonzalez), AC, and Baby Pun (Big Pun’s son) collaborated with Jet on the track to create a sound even Big Pun himself would be proud of.

A message from Jet on the project:

Ten years ago, hip-hop music lost one of it’s most brilliant creative minds in Christopher Rios, professionally known as Big Pun. He possessed a wizard-like mastery of words, a wit that often flew over people’s heads, and the larger-than-life charisma that made him one of the biggest superstars on the planet.

In efforts to preserve his memory and celebrate the cultural icon that is Big Punisher, I’ve pulled together several individuals who illustrate the influence that Pun had on the hip-hop community, and basically asked them to use their 16 bars as a platform for expression, as Pun would.

Peace to Termanology, AC, and Realm Reality (known to most as actor Rick Gonzalez) and Baby Pun for dedicating time to making the project happen.

Peace,

Jet

Check it out and have a listen.

“A ‘Stand Alone Complex’ is an occurrence or mass hysteria for which nobody knows it’s true origin. I think it’s a testament to the careers of everyone on the project, including myself, because everyone here is quickly emerging and progressing. Nobody knows or understands why, but at the end of the day, we’re here, and not going anywhere.”

While it remains a fact that producers have fueled hip-hop’s existence since its inception, a great disparity exists between MC and their beatsmiths. In fact, the last few years have shown how blurred that line can become, leaving purists and traditionalists thirsting for something authentic….

Well, the day has come for fans of all types to be appeased: enter Jet Audio, a producer that balances the sensibilities of classic hip-hop with futuristic elements that creates a blend of sounds that strike the listener as new, yet surprisngly reminiscent of eras past.

Like any artist, Jet chooses not to label his brand of music, but says he finds inspiration within everything from early to mid 90s hip-hop, J Dilla, Saturday morning cartoons, girls, and “all things futuristic”. This organized chaos is evident in his sound, as he channels a barrage of styles from electronic to rock to lounge music within his opuses.

A true purveyor of 21st century hip-hop music, Jet Audio has one goal and one goal alone: to make music that helps put life in perspective.

“Music doesn’t mean anything if you can’t feel it”. – Jet Audio
